What is Facebook Creator Studio and what can it do for you?
At its most basic, Facebook Creator Studio is a way to post, manage and schedule content on both your Facebook business pages and Instagram business profiles. You can also access your insights, check your inbox, create ads and a lot more, but that’s for another post.
There’s a mobile app, but crucially, you can access it direct from your desktop browser – business.facebook.com/creatorstudio – meaning you can use your keyboard and mouse, plus access the full functionality of your computer.
So, already we see a couple of great benefits –
- Post to Instagram from your desktop!
- Schedule Instagram posts!
You can, of course, do those things using an external scheduling tool, such as Later or Planoly, but this is new, and it’s the only way to do it within a native Facebook space, you can’t even schedule via the app.
What else can Creator Studio do?
That’s not all. There are a number of simple things that make Creator Studio a better way to manage your pages than native Facebook.

In fact it’s BETTER than Instagram for one specific function…
- You can post a Facebook story with a link in
Read that again… no matter how many followers your page has, you can add a button with a link to an external website onto a Facebook story using Creator Studio. You need around 10,000 or more followers before you can link externally with a ‘swipe up’ in organic Instagram stories.
Facebook stories haven’t really caught on in the same way that Instagram’s have (yet) but if you’re using them anyway, then this is a great way to get an edge.
You can only create basic text and image Facebook stories in Creator Studio, and currently the functionality is pitifully limited, so create your image separately, using Canva, for example, and upload as an image, then add the link.
